Get Involved Today

Over 3.6 Million Americans miss or delay health care appointments each year due to a lack of transportation!

The lack of consistent and affordable transportation options disproportionally affects our low income and older adult populations. This creates a barrier to health care that deepens the inequities affecting our populations most at risk of being vulnerable. As we all continue to age, this number will continue to grow unless we come up with innovative solutions now. Join our mission and help us bridge the gap between health and transportation.

Bridging the Gap Between Health Care and Transportation

Lifts 4 Lives is an advocacy campaign raising awareness of one of the most critical problems in healthcare-the lack of reliable transportation to medical appointments. You can have the best treatment options in the nation but they are useless if you do not have a way to get there. At Lift 4 Lives, we are bridging the gap between health and transportation so all people can have equitable transportation access to care.
Cost-efficient Transportation

Through donations, sponsorship, and community investment, we provide reduced or no-cost transportation to healthcare for those who need it.

Community Relationships

Through community outreach and engagement, we identify resources tailored to fit the needs of the people we serve.

Collaborative Partnerships

By partnering with public, private, and non-profit organizations, we can work together to create an equitable environment where all people have transportation access to health care.

Give

Transportation is a basic but critical step to receiving care.

Patients without reliable transportation are often forced to forgo preventative care and only seek help in medical emergencies, increasing costs for the patient and the larger health care system. Unfortunately, the cycle of missed appointments only gets worse as it often means an increased likelihood of worsening health conditions, more treatments and more expensive payments to continue care. Help us break the cycle and pledge to give a lift today!

We Can Fix This

Homeless patients do not have the money to pay even a dollar for the half-fare program. Even patients, who work, don’t have enough money to make it because they are paying bills, taking care of family, etc.
Service Supervisor
Never has there been a week where I haven't been asked to provide transportation to a patient
Oncology Nurse Navigator
Trying to get back and forth, especially when you are doing radiation and having to go every day, can get very expensive quickly.
Cancer Patient
Patients are often too sick to drive themselves, and the demands of work and family life make it difficult for caregivers to drive patients to all treatments. The need is even more acute in areas lacking reliable public transportation.

Providing Transportation is not!

Even if we put $100 into transportation for 3.6 million people, we still would not reach the astronomical cost of missing appointment for patients, providers, and the American people.
